Ladyspinedoc x Doctor Brain Barbie: The New Collab is Here

Meet Dr. Jessica Lowe, the board-certified Neurologist behind the Migraine Girlie and No Mean Girls Collections

Our latest collaboration is a high-octane partnership built on shared values. You already know that at Ladyspinedoc, we champion the brilliance of women who refuse to play small. And partnering with Dr. Jessica Lowe (Doctor Brain Barbie) felt like an instant, high-performance match.

What began as a shared appreciation for horsepower, high standards, and neurology, quickly revealed something deeper. Dr. Grunch and Dr. Lowe have a mutual respect for excellence, a commitment to science, and a belief that ambitious women can lead boldly without diminishing one another.

That duality made the Ladyspinedoc x Doctor Brain Barbie collaboration a natural fit. Today, we are officially launching two new exclusive collections from this collab: Migraine Girlie and No Mean Girls.

The Spark: Where Medicine Meets Horsepower

You might wonder how a neurosurgeon and a neurologist first crossed paths. It wasn’t in a hospital corridor...

"Honestly, cars," Jessica says of her preliminary connection with Betsy. "I reached out to Betsy when I was coming to Atlanta to pick up my dream car—a Porsche 911 GTS. I had followed her for a while and knew she was not only an incredible neurosurgeon but also a serious car enthusiast."

The synergy was immediate. Between Betsy’s car collection (which also includes a 911), and Jessica’s new GTS, the two "neuro girlies" found common ground in more than cars just anatomy.

"We ended up filming content with our 911s, talking medicine and talking life." Jessica went on to say, "Two high powered women. Two high powered cars. The synergy made sense from day one."

A friendship blossomed. And from there, a new collab and two new collections, Migraine Girlie and No Mean Girls, were born. Here's the backstory both new drops.

Redefining the Patient Experience: The Migraine Girlie Collection

For Dr. Lowe, neurology is the "perfect intersection of science and humanity." This perspective is deeply personal, especially when it comes to migraines. Jessica isn't just a doctor treating the condition; she lives with migraines too.

The Migraine Girlie collection was created from a desire to change the narrative around chronic pain.

"As a physician, I understand the pathophysiology. As a patient, I understand the isolation, the unpredictability and the way it can derail your plans and your confidence," Jessica explains. "Migraine Girlie is about reclaiming your identity. It is a subtle but powerful shift from feeling like something is wrong with you to recognizing that you are managing a complex neurological condition with strength and intelligence."

Wearing these pieces allows you to embody the strength of the 'Migraine Girlie' identity while joining a global sisterhood. It signals that dealing with a neurological disorder (being a "Girlie with a Glitch") doesn't make you "dramatic" or "weak". It means you are showing up like a boss despite the challenge.

A Culture of Support: The No Mean Girls Collection

For women in high-stakes fields (like medicine), the pressure is constant. The No Mean Girls collection is a statement based on the culture Dr. Grunch and Dr. Lowe choose to build in their fields, and beyond. They believe that success is not a limited resource, and that another woman’s shine only expands what is possible for everyone.

"No Mean Girls is about culture. It is about choosing mentorship over competition and collaboration over insecurity," says Jessica. "The most powerful women I have ever met consistently advocate for other women. They open doors. They share opportunities. They say names in rooms that matter because there is room for all of us on this stage."

To us, being a "girl’s girl" is the ultimate flex. It shows you are secure enough in your own talent to celebrate the wins of those around you.
