Shirts for Nurses: The Meaning Behind Our Collabs
Share
When we set out to create some special shirts for Nurses Week, we didn’t want to just slap a heart on a t-shirt and call it a day. We wanted real nurse energy. The kind that shows up to code blues, holds hands through heartbreak, and still has enough humor left for a snarky charting comment by shift's end.
That’s why we teamed up with two badass creators – Lindsey Shelton (@scrubhacks) and Hillary of Her Crescent & Co (@hercrescentandco), to bring you a Nurses Week collection that’s as bold, gritty, and fun as the people it's made for.
Why This Nurse Shirt Collection Hits Different
Every piece in this drop was designed by nurses, for nurses. Lindsey is a traveling ICU nurse and mental health advocate. Hillary is an ER nurse and self-taught artist who captures the chaos and beauty of hospital life in a way that only someone who's lived it truly can. Both nurses create designs that aren't just cute – they’re loaded with inside jokes, shared struggles, and small wins worth celebrating.
Here’s what we just dropped:
- The Purple Nurses Week Tee – This limited-edition graphic tee celebrates the chaos, charm, and controlled mayhem of hospital life. Featuring grippy socks, a Foley cath, meds, ice chips, that sacred slice of pizza, and more. This soft, unisex tee is a must-have for any nurse.
- The “CAN I GET A WITNESS” Sweatshirt – This shirt highlights the chaotic, crucial, and downright hilarious realities of hospital life. It’s more than just funny – it’s a knowing wink at the constant med dose double-checks every nurse knows all too well. Thus, “CAN I GET A WITNESS?”
- The “ALL OOPSIES NO DAISIES” Sweatshirt – A nurse shirt with a fun twist on the traditional DAISY Award. This one’s for every nurse who keeps things running behind the scenes, fixing all the “oopsies” and rarely getting any daisies to show for their efforts (unless they own this shirt!)
In addition to the recent drops, here are two more best-selling Scrubhacks collab shirts for nurses:
- The Brain Farts Hoodie – This one is perfect for neuroscience healthcare workers who live and breathe all things ICP, TPA, GCS, and beyond, especially with the inner left sleeve showcasing the classic phrase: “CAN YOU SQUEEZE MY HANDS?”
- The “Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes” Tee – May is also Mental Health month, and this t-shirt specifically supports mental health awareness in healthcare, with proceeds going to Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation. This foundation fights healthcare burnout while promoting well-being and job satisfaction in the industry.
Wearable Merch, For Nurses, By Nurses
We didn’t just want to make “merch.” We wanted to create edgy, wearable fun. Pieces that start conversations in the breakroom, make coworkers (and patients) laugh, and remind nurses (on their 4th 12-hour shift) that what they do matters. No wonder these make great gifts for nurses!
Each item is made for:
-
The nurse who can quote SBAR and sarcasm all in the same breath
-
The ones who speak up, show up, and lift each other up
-
The shift warriors, new grads, charge queens, students, and seasoned vets
-
Anyone who wants to rep their nursing profession with pride…and a little edge
From the OR to the Nurse’s Station - A Note From Dr. Grunch
As a neurosurgeon, I get to work with nurses every single day, and I see how essential you are to patient care. But more than that, I see your grit. Your hilarious (sometimes dark) humor. Your refusal to quit even when you're running on fumes and cold hospital coffee.
So this Nurses Week and beyond, I hope you feel seen. You deserve more than pizza in the breakroom. You deserve to be celebrated out loud and in style…not just now, but forever.
Thank you for all you do. 🙏
